Avatar-guided onboarding for SaaS

Turn signups into active users.

Record your walkthrough once — an avatar of you greets every new user, shows them around your product, and gets them to their first win. Live in under 15 minutes with one script tag.

Watch a signup become an active user

90 seconds: first the experience your users get, then how you build it.

Your product is good. Your onboarding is a wall of tooltips.

Trials go quiet after day one

Most new signups poke around once, don’t reach a first win, and never come back. The product didn’t fail — the guidance did.

Tooltip tours get skipped

“Next, next, next, close.” Static tours interrupt without helping, so users dismiss them and explore blind.

Your best explanations live outside the product

Docs, help centers, and YouTube walkthroughs sit exactly where a confused user isn’t. Almost nobody leaves your app to go read them.

Tours vs. Matio

A tooltip tour

  • Points at buttons with static boxes of text
  • Gets skipped in the first three seconds
  • Same rigid path for every user
  • Silent — reading is the user’s job

A person who shows you

  • Your face and voice walk users through the real UI
  • Shows and highlights the exact element to click
  • Branches based on what the user does
  • Talks — like a colleague sitting next to you

How it works

1

Record your walkthrough

Click through your own product once and narrate it. Matio captures the steps, your face, and your voice from that single recording.

2

Matio builds the flow

Your recording becomes an avatar-guided flow on a visual canvas — steps, branching, highlights. Edit anything before it ships.

3

Embed and publish

Paste one script tag. Publish from the canvas and every new user gets guided — updates go live without touching your codebase again.

Everything here is live today

No roadmap items on this page — every feature below is shipped and working.

Visual flow canvas

Design onboarding as a graph: branching, conditions, and A/B rotations on one canvas.

Your digital twin

Avatar and voice clone generated from a single recording — it’s you, not a stock presenter.

Click-through guidance

The avatar highlights the real element and waits for the user’s click before moving on.

Every modern browser

One embed works across current Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge — no plugins.

Instant publish

Only changed steps re-render on publish. Text edits go live in seconds, not hours.

GDPR-first capture

Structure-only runtime model: no screenshots, no keystrokes, no PII leaves the page.

EU infrastructure

Rendering and data storage run on EU infrastructure.

Goals & funnel reports

Define goals per flow and see exactly where users complete or drop off.

Multi-language flows

One recording, flows in multiple languages — same avatar, same voice.

We don’t show you other people’s numbers. We show you yours.

Matio measures activation on your own users — flow goals, completion, and drop-off, straight from your product. Install it, run it for a couple of weeks, and judge it on your data. If the numbers don’t move, remove the script tag.

Record once. Onboard in every language you sell in.

The same avatar — your face, your voice — guides users in multiple languages from a single recording. No re-shoots, no dubbing studio, no separate flows to maintain.

Will my users actually like this?

Fair question — an avatar in your product sounds invasive until you see how it behaves.

It never blocks the UI

The avatar plays on demand, is dismissible at any moment, and stays out of the way. Users stay in control of their own screen.

It’s you, not a synthetic stranger

Users see the founder or teammate who actually built the product — a real person’s face and voice, cloned from your own recording.

It collects structure, not content

At runtime Matio captures page structure only — no screenshots, no keystrokes, no PII. Read the details in our privacy policy.

Judge it yourself

The same widget runs on this page. Try it, dismiss it, decide whether you’d want it in front of your users.

I built Matio because I watched good products lose users in their first ten minutes — not for lack of features, but because nobody was there to show the way. A tooltip can point; it can’t guide. Matio puts you in the room with every new user, at a scale no founder has time for.

Questions founders ask us

How fast can I actually go live?

Under 15 minutes for a simple flow: record your walkthrough, let Matio build the flow, paste the script tag, publish. Longer flows take longer to record — but the tooling never adds meetings or engineering tickets.

Does it work in all browsers?

Yes — every modern browser your users are on: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.

What data do you collect, and where does it live?

At runtime the widget captures page structure only — no screenshots, no keystrokes, no personal data. Everything is processed and stored on EU infrastructure. Details in the privacy policy.

Can I use my own face and voice?

That’s the point. Matio creates a digital twin — your avatar and voice clone — from one recording, with an explicit consent step before anything is generated.

What happens when I hit my plan’s limits?

Nothing breaks: published flows keep running for your users. Rendering new or changed steps needs avatar video minutes, so you’d upgrade or wait for your next billing cycle.

Can users turn the avatar off?

Always. The avatar is dismissible at any moment and never blocks the page. Dismissed users aren’t nagged on their next visit.
